The RNC is holding “Taking Back the Future” summit in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, July 10 and Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Renaissance Washington. This summit is designed to train Republican women of all ages to be Republican ambassadors, activists and candidates this election cycle.
The RNC has asked NFRW and the State Federation Presidents to nominate women who would be worthy candidates for this training. If you or someone in your club is interested in attending this summit, please let me know no later than Thursday (June 5) so that I can nominate them by the Friday deadline. Please notes that each participant will be responsible for the cost of their own travel, accommodations and a $50 registration fee. The RNC will send a formal nomination letter and registration information to each nominee on Monday, June 9.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet a variety of Republican elected officials and business leaders and learn about their paths toward elected office. They will also learn from campaign operatives about running campaigns, speaking to the media and how to raise money. Not only will the sessions be valuable, but also the networking will be worthwhile.
In 2014, the stakes are high for Republicans all across our country. The opportunity to gain seats in the United States House, to win back control of the Senate for the first time since 2007 and to re-elect our 19 Republican governors who are up for re-election in 2014 is within our reach! A nationwide USA Today / CNN Poll found that by more than 2-1, Americans are dissatisfied with the direction of the country. Women voters make up 53% of our electorate, and it is vital they are part of the solution for America. One of the important ways to solidify victory would be to engage more women voters, women activists and operatives across the country. In order to be successful in November, we must and will continue to make that effort a success.
Again, if you’d like to nominate a woman to attend this summit, please send her name, email and phone number no later than Thursday evening.
